the art of loving

Erich Fromm illustrates in his book „Die Kunst des Liebens“ („The Art of Loving“) that the eclectic process of loving is fundamentally connected to the development of personality. He wants to show that there will not be a discharge in the love to another person without true humbleness, courage, discipline and faith. In his opinion love is no passive affect but more an activity. It is a process which developes inside and nothing that you are addicted or derelicted to.

The audio-visual interpretation of his text is a media collage created out of found footage, generative motives, transformed raw-data and self produced recordings.
